Patient Perspective

Tips To Protect Skin From Melasma 1 :

Wear a wide/broad brim hat and protective clothing when outdoors. Also, whenever outside for a prolonged period, always seek shade to combat strong UV radiation.

Use sunscreen daily without fail. The best sunscreen is those that offer broad-spectrum protection. Also, choose a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

Make use of gentle skin care products, as harsher products could cause burning and sting. This could worsen the Melasma.

Avoid waxing as this could irritate your skin causing inflammation.

Eat a healthy diet. Eat more leafy green veggies, fruits, berries, nuts/seeds among others.

Use a natural moisturizer.
